CGRMC Auxiliary Awards Five $1,000 Scholarships

Casa Grande, Arizona – The Casa Grande Regional Medical Center (CGRMC)
Auxiliary is pleased to announce this year's five scholarship recipients. Each year,
the hospital Auxiliary awards five $1,000 scholarships to area residents who are
pursuing education in the field of human healthcare. This year, fifteen applications
were submitted from individuals 17-60 years of age representing seven different
healthcare careers. Of these fifteen, the following five students were selected to receive
a scholarship: Jenna Blaylock, a graduate of Coolidge High School, pursuing a degree
in nursing; Sabrina D'Souza, a graduate of Casa Grande Union High School majoring
in pre-med at the University of Arizona; Dorthea Garcia attending CAC for a degree
in nursing; Ryan Johnson, a graduate of Casa Grande Union High School, attending
school to become an EMT/paramedic; and Mayra Perez, graduate of Maricopa Unified
High School, pursuing a degree in nursing.

The CGRMC Auxiliary promotes and advances the hospital through volunteerism
and fundraising. In addition to the scholarship program, each year the Auxiliary
donates approximately $70,000 to the hospital in the form of equipment to benefit
patient care initiatives. The funds for these donations come from the Auxiliary's
annual golf tournament on the last Friday of October, as well as from vending
